Quality of life in FLV!

THANK YOU FOR NOT LITTERING! – KEEP FOREST LAKE VILLAGE BEAUTIFUL!

There are a few obvious items that affect quality of life in FLV. Everyone should be aware that the posted speed limit on all streets in Forest Lake Village is 25 miles per hour. Vehicular speeding is a big concern with the number of walkers and children playing on our streets which have no sidewalks.

Another concern is the litter being tossed along our streets by uncaring individuals. PLEASE talk to contractors that may be doing work on your properties about their speed and to please refrain from littering our village as they come and go to make their living.

Also parents of children who may drive four wheelers and golf carts on our roads: PLEASE encourage them that they should be courteous and mindful of their speed and treat our greenways respectfully.

Upkeep of property appearance and maintaining the peace and tranquility of our neighborhood not only makes Forest Lake Village more beautiful, but also respecting the quality of life of everyone sharing this lovely and peaceful setting on Lake Sinclair. Did you know that there are over a dozen “GREENWAYS” or Common Areas in our neighborhood that border or touch 92 of the residential lots in Forest Lake Village? There is a large plat in the Kiosk that shows the Common and Recreational designated areas. The intent of the developer was to preserve the natural setting and condition of these areas which adds to the privacy and serenity of the neighborhood and preserves the natural appeal and character of Forest Lake Village! That is the case with most of the Common natural areas, many of which are natural drainage ravines. It has been brought to the attention of the FLV Board that some of these deeded common areas which belong to all residents of FLV have, unfortunately, been encroached on by adjoining property owners. Perhaps some are unaware of the fact these COMMON areas exist. Please help preserve the integrity of these easements. Do not dump debris such as limbs and yard clippings and leaves on the greenways and vacant lots in our neighborhood.

The FLVHA Board has also received complaints about residences where multiple boats, vehicles, lumber, out buildings in disrepair and general “junk yard” appearance, are becoming noticeable. This is a disservice to the immediate neighbors and can affect the desirability and value of our neighborhood and properties. Please look at what may have grown into a bigger situation than you realize!

ALSO, PET OWNERS: Please observe Putnam County LEASH LAWS and PROTECT your beloved pet!
